CREATIVE TRANSFORMATIONS
Delivering creative ways for people to connect in pursuit of safer communities, representation and fulfilling lives.
With a broad interest in culture and the arts, projects emerge that use music, art and dance to facilitate wellbeing through congruence, cohesion and connectivity.
Such projects can heal or empower communities and groups. The arts and creativity are essential aspects of our humanity. As is our capacity to co-regulate each other as social animals. The arts represent our experiences and hopes; they can transform our understanding of ourselves and our world; they generate empathy; they create a flow and focus; they contribute to our neurobiological health; they help us remember; they channel our motivations for political change; they connect us to other people and something bigger than ourselves.
I use the arts in many forms towards change:
-Art to engage in ideas.
-Creativity to provoke innovation and leadership.
-Art to engage in healing or connection.
-Art to disseminate research findings.
-Training or governance around using the arts for wellbeing.
-Gallery talks or post show discussions with the public on issues raised.
-Consultation to creatives wanting an accurate and kind representation of mental health in their works.
-Creativity as a fundamental aspect of my existence.
